Hang In There, Scooby is part 2 of the third episode of the Richie Rich / Scooby-Doo show and it originally aired on November 22, 1980. This episode sees Scooby, Shaggy and Scrappy flying around on a hang-glider.

Since this episode is pure slapstick, and no plot, there’s not much to say, so let’s get on with the review.

The episode begins with the gang hanging out on a cliff above a beach. Wanting to get down they decide to hang glide down as there is a rental shop nearby.

Scrappy gets excited and gets on the hang-glider, so Scooby and Shaggy chase him and hop on as well.

Scooby Pool

Flying over the ocean, the gang run into many hazards such as an ocean whirlwind, and a lightning storm, before heading back to the beach.

Before they can land, they first must contend with the skyscrapers of the city near the beach followed by some airplane action and then a giant bird. The giant bird wrecks their glider, and the gang safely fall and land in a beach umbrella.

Happy they are on land, Scrappy heads off to the ocean to go surfing.

My Review

oneI give this episode a 1 out of 10. Nothing here but action and stupidity. No plot, monster, no bad guy, no spookiness.

This episode is just pure hijinks, and there’s nothing wrong with it. It’s just that when I want a Scooby-Doo episode, I want a little more than 7 minutes of action/comedy.
