The ‘Dooby Dooby Doo’ Ado – Episode Review
The episode begins with the gang in Las Vegas at the Circus A-Go-Go casino for Dooby Dooby Doo’s big opening. Shaggy is dressed up in his finest tuxedo shirt.

Cousin Dooby is signing autographs, and speaks in perfectly good English. The Doos reunite, just in time for reporter Marcy Green, of the Daily Press to interview. Dooby-Doo explains he has a show to do and starts to run off, but Marcy is insistent on taking a picture of him, with his collar on.

Dooby explains to Scooby and the Gang that the collar was given to him by a fan in NY and it was meant to give him good luck. But, ever since he has worn the collar he’s had a funny feeling that someone was out to get him. As Dooby-Doo explains this, we see a hand come out from behind a curtain to try and snag his collar. However, Scooby shoves Dooby-Doo out of the way just in time.

The show begins, and just before Dooby-Doo goes on stage, we see two shadowy figures behind the curtain discuss their plan to get that collar.
Dooby-Doo does his show and sings a song. It’s sort of a Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin schtick, and it gets the ladies in the audience excited. One showgirl is so excited, she pulls Dooby-Doo right off the stage. Scrappy yells out his famous catchphrase and swings down to rescue Dooby-Doo, before the collar can be stollen.

Daphne and Scrappy try to apprehend the lady, but instead run into Marcy Green, who runs off explaining she has a deadline. Daphne declares she suspects Marcy is behind the whole collar snatching crime.
Scooby is dressed up as Dooby-Doo, complete with an identical collar made by Scrappy. The collar also includes a homing signal, just in case Scooby gets into trouble. Scooby then goes on stage lip-synching to Dooby-Doo’s vinyl album called Dooby’s Greatest Hits. Of course, there are technical difficulties, and Scooby must improvise to the horror of the audience. Fortunately, for the audience, Scooby is dognapped and the show ends.

Scooby is brought to some sort of underground tunnel secret headquarters, where he learns the woman gave him the collar in NY and planned on stealing it in Las Vegas. The gang arrive in Dooby’s Limo and spy on the criminals shenanigans, and Marcy Green also shows up and explains to Daphne, Scrappy, Dooby, and Shaggy that she’s a government agent who’s tracking down a special laser band.

Scrappy takes control of the situation and uses the laser band to trap two henchmen. Unfortunately, the two lead criminals snag the collar away from Scrappy and use it to try and get away but are cornered in a dead end. Scooby uses his horrid singing voice to cause an avalanche, and catches the baddies.

We then end with a final concert, with Scooby, Dooby and Scrappy on stage, and the end gag is that Scooby’s horrid singing voice breaks all the lights on the Vegas strip.
My Review
I give this episode a 6 out of 10. It’s certainly funny, and I enjoyed it. I wish there was a ghost or monster or something other than some plain clothes crooks. It’s also rather short, so I understand they couldn’t do much. But yeah, it’s a funny one and worth a watch if you want to see more of Scooby’s family members.
