Scooby’s Peep-Hole Pandemonium – Episode Review
The episode begins at the Peep-Hole Publications Building where the gang are hired by Olson Kane to get the inside scoop on people. Their first assignment is for Norma Deathmond, the famous horror movie queen. Scrappy is excited as he’s seen all of her old movies on tv. The image below is the last photo of her, from the 1933 film called “Fangs for the Memories”

Norma’s home has a lot of security, mostly real monsters, but Orson Kane has a plan. He wants the gang to join her birthday party.

Meanwhile, at Norma’s house we meet her butler Franklin Stein, her brand new maid named Maid Mummy, and her pet named Woof Woof. All that needs to happen is for the caterers to arrive at midnight, and as if on cue, Scooby, Daphne, Scrappy and Shaggy show up with chef outfits for their Creepy Caterers catering company.

Scooby and Shaggy are shown to the kitchen while Scrappy and Daphne set the tables with the finest bone China. In the kitchen we are presented with lots of questionable food that wouldn’t even be presentable to Scooby and Shaggy.

Daphne notices that Maid Mummy doesn’t know how to set cutlery. At the same time, Woof Woof finds a camera in the catering cart and is on to their plan to sneak a camera into the house.
We get a huge chase scene as the gang are made out for the frauds they are. At one point, in order to evade the monsters the Gang run down to the Chamber of Horrors, which contains mementos from Norma’s old movies. Hiding among the props, the gang are soon revealed due to the amount of dust and Scooby’s allergies.

In the game room, we get a parody of Family Feud called Family Ghoul, pitting the Deathmonds against the Snoopy Reporter Family. Woof Woof and Franklin are thrilled to be on the show! Norma catches on, however, and the chase continues where we learn her safe has been emptied. Trapped in the bedroom, Daphne quickly figures out Maid Mummy was behind the theft of Norma’s precious jewels.

Daphne unmasks the maid to be non other than their publisher Orson Kane. Orson planned to keep everyone busy while he stole the jewels.
Happy that her jewels were saved, Scrappy requests Norma shows her face and reveals that she is a vampire. Tonight is her 300th birthday and she insists the gang stay and celebrate.

Scooby and Shaggy politely decline pulling Daphne and Scrappy off with them before hopping in the Mystery Machine, where Shaggy drives them hastily away.
My Review
I give this episode an 8.5 out of 10. For a 12 minute episode this short packs a lot of punch and fun. We get lots of cool monsters, on top of gags, disguises, spooky scenery and the ever so memorable Norma Deathmond.
My only flaw with this episode is that I don’t feel like Daphne or Shaggy would be down to be sneaky and take photos against someone else’s privacy.
