Vild Vest Vampire – Episode Review

While digging some holes for fence posts behind the Tumbleweed jail, the gang come across a buried coffin.  Yabba pulls the coffin out of the hole and Count Zarko emerges.

Count Zarko is a little cranky the gang are in his backyard, and vows to turn everyone in Tumbleweed into zombies so he can rule the town.

Count Zarko hypnotizing Dusty

It doesn’t take long before Count Zarko zombifies everyone. But it’s more of a hypnotized Zombie spell, not a George Romero flesh eating zombie kinda deal here.

Town Zombies

In order to foil Count Zarko’s plan, the gang head to the spooky old ranch house be the graveyard, and disguise themselves as a tree. Breaking into the house, Yabba finds a book called “The Secret Life of Vampires” which explains how to break Count Zarko’s spell.  Before Yabba gets further into the book Count Zarko hypnotizes Yabba.

Fear not, however, as Dusty makes a dish called Monster Mashed Potatoes that breaks the Zombie Spell.

The gang then trap Count Zarko by dressing Scrappy up as a rooster to indicate morning is coming. Tricking him to get into his coffin, where they wisely mail him back to Transylvania. Using the pungent powers of garlic, our trio also wake the town zombies up from their spell.

My Review

five point fiveI give this one a 5.5 out of 10.  This one is tolerable and fun. Probably my favourite out of the Yabba-Doo episodes as we get a cowboy vampire. Plus, there’s lots of spookiness to behold.  On the other hand, at a quick 5 minutes, there isn’t much depth here, and I would have loved to have spent more time in this Spooky Tumbleweed town.

Anyway, join me next week when I cover Gem of a Case.  Until then, stay spooky!!
