Sweet Dreams Scooby – Episode Review

The episode begins with the gang at a Museum. The sun is setting fast outside, but the gang are fascinated by all the exhibits like the red baron plane, and a Benjamin Franklin wax figure.

Scooby gets frightened by a Dinosaur statue, and in the commotion, the gang get locked inside the museum.

The gang decide to sleep on a bench until morning, and Shaggy begins to dream he is Benjamin Franklin. In the dream Scrappy is Paul Revere and Scooby is Thomas Edison.

We see Shaggy discover electricity.

We then cut to Scrappy’s dream where he is in the army. In this dream, Scrappy is Blue Max and he’s out to hunt the red baron.

In the dream we get a dogfight in the sky that Scrappy ends up winning.

Finally, we soon cut to Scooby’s dream of being a caveman encountering a t-rex. Scooby goes to fight the dinosaur with his club, and then gets chased about by the dinosaur until he’s eaten.

Scooby Caveman

The episode ends with Scooby sleeping in the dinosaur’s mouth where a confused guard scratches his head at the sight.

My Review

four point fiveI give this episode a 4.5 out of 10. Yes it’s stupid, and yes it’s not spooky or scary, however I did laugh with the twist at the end where the gang were sleeping in the various exhibits. Especially Scooby – how did he get up in that mouth.

The dreams were also quick enough that I was never bored.

Anyway, join me next week when I will be covering Scooby-Doo 2000.
