Scooby’s Luck of the Irish – Episode Review
The episode begins with the gang eating hotdogs with their Irish stew. Scrappy has a book of Irish legends and wants to tell Ghost Stories.
An alarm goes off and Scrappy realizes that he has caught a Leprechaun named Pat O’Wiley. In Scrappy’s book, it says that when caught a Leprechaun must reveal where his pot of gold is.
The Leprechaun says his gold is at the Castle Ruins of LeMoore.
Searching the castle, they hear the screeching of a banshee ghost, however, it’s just the Leprechaun toying around with them. The Leprechaun turns himself into the Banshee and has even more fun fooling the gang.
Scrappy drenches the ghost and turns him back into the Leprechaun. The Leprechaun then puts on a fake game show where Shaggy wins some hamburgers. Scooby, unfortunately, wins a ghostly encounter with a spooky looking ghost.
Behind door number 3, Scrappy finds a rainbow and they follow it to the Leprechaun’s pot of gold, which turns out to be nothing but an illusion.
My Thoughts
I give this episode a 3 out of 10.
This was a fun episode, and while not spooky, the Leprechaun made for some clever ghostly gags. I also liked the ending where Scooby said ‘Scooby-Dooby-Stew’.
