Scooby at the Center of the World – Episode Review
The episode begins at Badcarl’s Cavern, which is a take of Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico, where the gang are on a free self-guided tour.
Stopping for lunch inside, a rock creature eats Scooby’s submarine sandwich, sparking off a chase scene as the gang try to evade these hungry rock monsters.
Sliding further down the cave tunnels, the gang end up in a cavern full of bats. Scooby can’t say the letter ‘b’ very well, so Shaggy and Scrappy think he sees some rats.
Scrappy soon spots a giant bat, and the chase is afoot once more until Scrappy drops some water on the Stone Creatures shrinking them down to a couple of inches as they are made out of limestone.
My Review
I give this episode a 3.5 out of 10.
The scene where Scooby was trying to explain the bats he saw was pretty funny. Meanwhile, the rock creatures, while simple in design, were kinda neat and spooky.
The cave setting was spooky enough, and the bats were also fun to see. We never see the gang visit the center of the earth where there should be lava and other crazy sights to behold.
