Mine Your Own Business originally aired on Oct 2, 1982 and is the second episode of Scrappy and Yabba Doo.
In this episode, Yabba-Doo receives a map to Dry Gultch Gold Mine as part of his inheritance, however, he first has to deal with the Balton Brothers who want to steal his claim.
Mine Your Own Business = Episode Review
The episode begins with the gang at the post office. Yabba has received a letter where he learns he has inherited the Dry Gulch Gold Mine. Overhearing their conversation, two Brothers listen in and plan on stealing the map to the gold mine.
Using a vacuum cleaner, the Balton Brothers steal the map and claim the Gold Mine. Yabba and Scrappy are having no part of this, so they run into the mine to confront the Brothers.
One of the brothers dresses as a bear to scare them out, but Scrappy and Yabba are no sissies and they tackle the bear. Instead, they end up falling down a mine shaft.
In the end, justice prevails and Yabba and Scrappy capture the Balton Brothers, along with a healthy mine cart full of fool’s gold.
My Review
I give this episode a 3.5 out of 10.
It’s entertaining enough, but I doubt I’ll ever watch it again. I think it’s cool that it exists, and it offers a nice contrast to the spookier side of the Scooby Universe.
