Comic Book Caper – Review
The episode beings with the gang working at a Comic Book convention where they are to guard a valuable Slimeboy Issue #1 on display.
Shaggy is surprised by Mr. Bigsby in a werewolf costume who owns the comic, and he introduces Shaggy and the Gang to the Convention Manager named Mr. Morley. The gang are instructed to guard the comic book and not to take their eyes off of it until midnight when the convention ends.
Slimeboy emerges from the Slimeboy display and steals the gang, running away with it. Amidst all the costumed comic book attendants, he is somewhat hard to pick out of the crowd.
Scooby manages to snag the comic book, and now the gang are pursued by Slimeboy who wants it back. Hilarity ensues and once again Slimeboy has the comic.
Following his slimy footprints, the gang eventually nab Slimeboy’s costume. But fortunately Scooby finds a clue, a missing blue button that leads them to Mr. Morley, the convention manager, and comic book thief.

My Review
I give this one a 6 out of 10. Pretty high actually, as I love comics, and comic book conventions. Slimeboy was also an interestingly drawn villain, and Scrappy kinda looked cute in his western outfit.
Finally, this one had a bit of mystery with suspects, which harkened back to classic Scooby-Doo. The comic book splashes to represent the word ‘thud’ were a nice touch as well.
Anyway, until next time when I cover Misfortune Teller, stay spooky!
