Double Trouble Date originally aired on Oct 23, 1982 and is part of the 5th episode of the Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Puppy Hour.
In this episode, Shaggy accidentally plans two dates for the same date, and sends Scooby off as his cousin so they can have a double date.
Double Trouble Date – Episdoe Review
The episode begins with Shaggy getting a lecture by his date on how he goofed up making two dates on the same day. With the help of Scrappy, Scooby dresses up as Shaggy to dress up as Shaggy’s cousin for his date with Lucy.
Lucy’s blind as a bat as she’s getting her glasses fixed, and she’s a big fan of Scooby’s Danish accent.
Lucy’s brother, who’s name is Moose, shows up with Lucy’s glasses and chases Scooby and Shaggy around an amusement park. The double date also goes poorly due to Scooby’s clumsiness
Scooby and Shaggy end up in a dunk tank and Lucy hits a bullseye despite being blind. Moose has had enough and puts her glasses on, where Lucy is perfectly fine dating a dog..
My Review
I give this episode a 4 out of 10. It’s pretty dumb, and there’s nothing spooky about it, but I found it funny as well. It reminded me more of an Archie Comic book with its plot, and didn’t feel all that Scooby like, but meh, it’s okay. It’s okay. Looking back, I had to take a long break from reviewing Scooby episodes because of this one. It just seems so unscooby like.
