Yabba’s Rustle Hustle is the first episode of Scrappy & Yabba-Doo which originally aired as the third part of the first episode of the Scooby & Scrappy-Doo Puppy Hour which aired on September 25, 1982.

Yabba-Doo is Scrappy’s Uncle, meaning he’s Scooby’s brother, and Scrappy is out to visit him to learn the ways of being a cowboy.

This episode marks the first appearance of Yabba-Doo and Deputy Dusty where the two are needed to catch some cattle rustlers.

Tubleweed population - 601

The episode begins with an introduction to the Town of Tumbleweed. Population 601 and a half. We are introduced to Yabba-Doo and deputy Dusty who are enjoying some chili snacks.

The Sheriff’s office gets a call about some Cattle Rustlers at the McKay Ranch, so Scrappy, Uncle Yabba and Dusty head off to put an end to that.

Disguised as a cow, Yabba and Dusty get rustled by a helicopter, and Scrappy confronts the head rustler.

Villain

Using a love-struck cow and some chili snacks, Yabba, Dusty and Scrappy capture the ranchers.

My Review

3.5I give this episode a 3.5 out of 10

This is not my jam! Yabba didn’t do much for me, and neither did Dusty. The comedy didn’t do much for me either.

I get that this is more of a Scooby spin off, so it’s not going to be spooky or have a mystery. But I also didn’t find it all that interesting or entertaining.
